Branca Tower

Designed by Gio Ponti, the tower was erected in 1933 in Parco Sempione (Milan) during the fifth Triennial exhibition, in addition to six huge temporary “single arches” designed by Sironi. Milan became therefore the European symbol of a “triennial international exhibition of modern architecture as well as decorative and industrial arts”. Wholly made of special steel pipes, flanged and bolted, manufactured by Dalmine, the tower is 108.60 meter high.

The tower became unfit for use in 1972 but in honour to the city of Milan, it was wholly renovated and made accessible again by Fratelli Branca Distillerie and was renamed Torre Branca.
