Fratelli Branca Distillerie S.r.l. is a well-established Italian company operating in the spirits sector. The company, founded over 165 years ago in Milan, has always been controlled and headed by the Branca family, now at the fifth generation. This entrepreneurial story began in 1845, when Bernardino Branca invented the bitter liqueur that would have become popular all over the world: Fernet-Branca. Its unique and secret formula has been passed down to the present day and has stayed the same over the years.

Since its establishment, the company has been characterized by internationality: a pioneer in the creation of a bitter liqueur made from herbs and roots from all over the world and in its marketing abroad, as the product was already present on several international markets in 1860.

“Novare Serbando” is the leitmotiv of the company’s growth, based on quality, innovation and the respect of traditions. The story started with Fernet-Branca bitter liqueur and passed through the development of Stravecchio Branca and Brancamenta, “historic” products of the company, while the portfolio was expanded with a policy of brand acquisitions, extension lines and the entry in the market of wines and sparkling wines.

The mix of product portfolio and strategic decisions taken by the present Chairman allow the company, now present in more than 160 countries, to compete in Italy and abroad with the most important multinational companies. From 2000 to date, the development policies adopted by Niccolò Branca, including a strategic approach, extension lines, communication and marketing strategies, the establishment of a team exclusively focused on international markets, the joining of qualified management and the exponential growth of the Argentine subsidiary Fratelli Branca Destilerias S.A., have driven the company to hold new and significant positions in the sector.

Since April 1th 2009, Fratelli Branca Distillerie has been distributing in Italy the prestigious portfolio of Rémy Cointreau including cognac Rémy Martin and Louis XIII, Cointreau, Champagne Piper-Heidsieck and Charles Heidsieck, rum Mount Gay and Passoa liqueur.

Other members of the Branca family are involved in the controlled company Fratelli Branca Distillerie s.r.l.: Maria Teresa Branca, who manages the activities with Aibes (Associazione Italiana Barman e Sostenitori – Italian Association of Barmen and Supporters) and Ilaria Branca, brand ambassador of the company.
