Branca International is the completely Italian owned holding company that has been in the alcoholic beverages industry for more than 170 years. The result of a long entrepreneurial story that started back in 1845 in Milan with the foundation of the company Fratelli Branca Distillerie by Bernardino Branca. The Group has developed over the years in keeping with the motto «Novare Serbando», the expression and synthesis of the values that guide the company and that today go hand in hand with the principles of Economic Consciousness. The Group in its current form has been doing business since 1999 as the result of reorganisation started by the current President and MD Niccolò Branca.
Branca International still has their headquarters in Milan and manages the three companies that produce and sell spirits, the nerve centre of the Branca world: the historic Fratelli Branca Distillerie Srl, the Argentine company Fratelli Branca Destilerias SA, and Branca USA Inc., the trading company set up in 2019 in New York.
The Group also operates in the real estate sector through Branca Real Estate S.r.l, which manages the real estate assets of the Group, in the cultural field with the Centro Studi Fratelli Branca S.r.l, and in the financial industry with the two-fold aim of facilitating the expansion plans of their subsidiaries and diversifying investments by enhancing the wealth of international relationships acquired over the years.

The company was founded in Milan in 1845 and has had their headquarters there since 1907 in via Resegone. Present in 160 countries in five continents with an extensive and well organised distribution network, they produce a differentiated range of products including brandy, spirits, coffee liqueur, vermouth, bitter, wines and sparkling wines.
Branca started selling Fernet-Branca in Argentina back in 1860. Thanks to the great results on the market, a plant was opened in Buenos Aires and in 1941 the Argentinian company F.lli Branca Destilerias S.A was founded. With the opening of a new site in Tortuguitas and the strategic leadership of Niccolò Branca, the Argentine market has grown significantly since 2000. With courage and innovation the company even managed the economic crisis by avoiding job losses and confirmed investments in development so much so that in 2009 the production site was extended further.
At the start of 2019, the Branca Group decided to open a branch in New York with the aim of managing imports, distribution and direct sales of Branca products in North America – today it is now the second most important site in the Group.
Operating since 2006, Branca Real Estate manages all the real estate assets of the Group including industrial buildings used for commercial, cultural and residential use in Italy, Switzerland and France, and land and farms. The policy and redesign of company governance and structure started by Niccolò Branca in 2005 has made it possible to convert unused buildings and organise production, sales activities and those connected to real estate assets into separate companies that are now run with an entrepreneurial view with the holding company acting as a guide and coordinator, with the strategic objective of growth and creating value.
The Centro Studi Fratelli Branca Srl opened in 1981 in Milan to focus on quality control and research into distillates, aromatic herbs and medicinal herbs. One of the founding aims was to transform the knowledge and inherent traditions developed by Branca since 1845 into rational knowledge. Today the Centro Studi focuses on reducing allergens as well as developing products, Quality Control and also promotes innovative initiatives such as for example the Branca Academy, the Branca Collection and the Torre Branca, recently renovated and re-opened to the public.
Through the centralised management of cash flow and Group investments the Finance Area pursues the two-fold aim of facilitating the expansion plans of their subsidiaries – reinforcing their presence in their field of expertise by acquiring brands and companies in Italy and abroad – and diversifying investments by enhancing the wealth of international relationships acquired over the years.
